Singapore Airlines has enhanced its global waiver policy for customers affected by COVID-19, making them eligible for free rebooking, bonus flight credits and full refunds.
Complimentary rebooking is available to all new customers, regardless of destination, travel period or fare types.
Tickets issued on or before March 15, 2020, for travel between January 24, 2020 and August 31, 2020, are eligible for flexible rebooking with flight credits for travel completion by December 31, 2021. All rebooking and no-show fees will be waived.
Customers can also opt for a full refund of the unused value of their tickets, with waiver of cancellation and no-show fees.
Sally George, market development manager of Singapore Airlines Johannesburg, told Travel News that local travel agents could go to the carrier’s Travelinfo pages for a document designed specifically for the travel trade.
