While international travel is gradually picking up with the easing of Covid-19 travel restrictions across the globe, the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Southern Africa, has observed a hesitancy in the region over the resumption of corporate travel.
GBTA Southern Africa, with the support of International SOS, is gathering industry thought leaders for a virtual conference to discuss what has changed in the world of business travel.
“Reigniting Confidence in the Travel Economy” will be hosted on November 24 at 12:00, midday, (Johannesburg time). Register here.
The Virtual Conference is open to travel buyers, risk managers and influencers in the travel industry in Southern Africa and attendance is free of charge.
Attendees will hear from subject matter experts on travel risk management (ISO 31030 standard), airline recovery and traveller wellness, among other topics.
Maureen Masuku, Chairperson of GBTA Southern Africa, said: “GBTA Southern Africa is a wonderful resource for corporate travel buyers and the business travel industry in the region. As travel restrictions are lifted we are delighted to partner with International SOS to help members navigate a return to travel at our forthcoming Virtual Conference. As a leader in health and security services, International SOS understands the changing needs of our travel sector post pandemic.”
The GBTA is the world’s largest business travel and meetings trade organisation, with operations across four continents. GBTA’s 9 000-plus members manage more than $345 billion of global business travel and meetings expenditures annually.
