Royal Caribbean International (RCI) is returning to South African waters in 2025.
The cruise line’s Voyager of the Seas is set to sail a Spain to South Africa itinerary from October 2025.
The 14-day itinerary will depart Barcelona on October 27, 2025 and arrive in Cape Town mid-November. It features calls in Morocco, the Canary Islands, Senegal and Namibia, and an overnight stop in Walvis Bay.
Voyager of the Seas will then sail a 17-night itinerary from Cape Town to Singapore. The cruise will include visits to Port Elizabeth, Réunion and Mauritius.
Upon its arrival in Singapore, the ship will resume its original schedule and sail to Australia for its winter cruise season.
In a statement, the cruise line said the ship was being redeployed to avoid unrest in the Red Sea area. The 3 430-guest vessel was set to offer a 14-night cruise from Civitavecchia to Dubai, followed by a 14-night voyage from Dubai to Singapore.
