Paris’s regional transport operator, Île de France Mobilité, has launched the Paris 2024 travel pass to reduce transport costs for visitors attending the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
According to euronews.com, the price of trips on the Paris Métro and the city’s buses and trams will double during the Olympics.
The physical card pass is already on sale, and the app pass will launch in mid-June.
All cards come with an initial one-off charge of €2 (R40). The passes are available for €16 (R327) per day or €70 (1 430) for a week-long pass. They include trips to venues such as Stade de France, Saint-Denis Aquatic Centre, Palace of Versailles and the Vaires-sur-Marne, as well as trips to and from Paris Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports.
