A modern Cape Dutch-style winelands retreat, The Manor House, has opened at Brookdale Estate in the Paarl winelands.
The hotel can accommodate 12 adults and two children under the age of 12, in six en-suite bedrooms. There are two sitting rooms, a library, numerous terraces, a kitchen, dining room, breakfast room, and pool with its own patio.
Currently under construction on the estate is an 80-seat restaurant, cellar and wine-tasting experience, due to open in 2022/3.
Brookdale Estate is 35-45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch and is set against the dramatic backdrop of the Klein Drakenstein mountains. In a Cinderella story, Brookdale Estate was once overgrown and underused. The Rudd family, originally from the United Kingdom, recognised the potential of the property and acquired the 67ha estate in 2015 and created a world-class country estate, offering exceptional hospitality and producing fine wines under the stewardship of talented young winemaker, Kiara Scott.
The Manor House is managed by Yvonne Coetzee, gm, and Gary Coetzee, executive chef, who have more than ten years of experience in management.
The Manor House is running an SA residents’ special, either self-catering or on a full board basis.
