The move will fill an open space in the hotel industry by creating a new premium economy lodging option to meet the needs of even more guests.
The cost-effective conversion brand is meant to provide an opportunity for existing properties by reimagining the economy segment and focusing on areas that drive the guest experience while still offering a consistent look and feel across each hotel.
According to Brand Leader for Spark by Hilton, Alissa Klees, there are currently more than 100 deals in various stages of development across the United States for the new offering, with some properties expected to open this year.
Signature elements of Spark by Hilton will include its thoughtful simplicity, reliable service and consistent quality. Other features of the properties will include a cost-effective pricing model and automated customer offerings, such as digital check-in and a digital key.
