HILTON Durban in KwaZulu
Natal is undergoing
an extensive R150m
refurbishment.
As part of the rst phase
of the renovation, the
entrance and lobby will
be overhauled, with work
expected to be completed
by early April. A restaurant
will also be added and,
following the initial phase,
the hotel’s rooms will be
upgraded.
“We are keeping the name
of the restaurant under
wraps for now but I can say
it will be a global brand not
yet represented in South
Africa,” Markus Fritz, Hilton
Durban gm was quoted as
saying in The Mercury.
The refurbishment will not
affect the hotel’s operation
– the front desk and
lobby café will be moved
to different venues and
function normally
