Edinburgh Airport scraps 100ml rule

09 Jul 2025
Comments | 0

Edinburgh Airport has lifted the 100ml liquid rule at the security checks, allowing passengers to carry up to two litres.

Large electronics, such as tablets and laptops, as well as liquids in containers can remain in bags.

The airport, now part of the VINCI Airports network, is the first in Scotland to lift the rule. It comes after eight new security scanners were installed as part of a £24 million (R582,8 million) investment to transform the security process at Scotland’s busiest airport.
