Lounges in London Heathrow and Gatwick Airports are hosting art exhibitions for the European summer season.

The Plaza Premium Lounge in London Heathrow at Terminal 2 will spotlight the art of Marcia Scott. The lounge will display abstract paintings and print media from Scott’s Flow collection. Scott’s art focuses on the process of mixing and moving paint by pouring it directly on the canvas, creating organic forms and flows in vibrant colours.

Plaza Premium’s Gatwick Lounge in the North Terminal will showcase the art of Joe Machine and his Nature collection. Machine’s artworks showcase the natural world in acrylic paintings, including woodlands, fields, flowers and valleys. His images represent the changing flora and fauna throughout each season.

Both lounges will host ‘meet the artist’ events towards the end of this month. This is the fourth global instalment of Plaza Premium’s Art and Lounge concept, which has already been introduced in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur.

“Integrating artworks into the lounge environment not only adds a unique cultural dimension to the travel experience but also offers travellers a glimpse into the artistic landscape of the lounge as a destination before departure,” said the Plaza Premium group.
