Minor Hotels has entered into a 50/50 partnership with B&G Park Co. Ltd to own and operate a resort in Hua Hin. Ananda Hua Hin Resort & Spa will be rebranded to Avani Hua Hin Resort and Villas from November 20.
The partnership represents an investment of $22,5 million (R320 million) by Minor Hotels. Minor Hotels ceo, Dillip Rajakarier, said, “AVANI is already well established in Thailand and we are excited to add this beachside resort to the brand’s growing portfolio.” The resort will be the fifth AVANI property in the group’s Thailand portfolio.
The resort offers a secluded beach escape and comprises 196 guest rooms in four categories including private pool villas. It has two restaurants, a Jazz Club, AVANISPA, AVANIFIT gym, AVANI Kids Club, large lagoon style swimming pool and pool bar and a 900 square metre Ballroom, the largest event space in Hua Hin.
Avani Hua Hin Resort and Villas is easily accessible by road (two hours) and air (25 minutes) from Bangkok. Hua Hin airport is a ten minute drive from the resort.
