On Tuesday, July 25, the first of Etihad’s four A380s returned to its London-Abu Dhabi service. The flight left Abu Dhabi at 02h05, arrived in Heathrow at 06h45 ahead of schedule, and returned to Abu Dhabi by 09h30.
This follows increased demand for travel over the summer season throughout July and August. “The aircraft adds much-needed capacity connecting Abu Dhabi with London Heathrow and allows us to build our network and increase frequencies across the network," said Etihad CEO, Antonoaldo Neves.
The A380 accommodates 405 passengers in economy, of which 68 have an additional 10cm of leg-room as well as 70 business studio passengers and nine first-class suites, each featuring a private living space.
