Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group is working on a memorandum of agreement to order four new ships. “We are now thrilled to formally announce that we will be growing our fleet and continue to offer the most exceptional cruising experiences in the industry,” said CEO, Christina Levis.
After the cruise line had suspended operations following the collapse of Crystal Cruises’ parent company Genting Hong Kong in 2022, A&K Travel Group acquired its two ships, Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, which it revamped to debut this year.
Crystal Serenity welcomed commercial guests on board in Marseilles on July 31, and refurbished sister ship Crystal Symphony will depart Athens on September 1 for its inaugural sailing.
"We have ambitious growth plans for Crystal and are proud of what we have accomplished with the relaunch of Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony in just under a year following the purchase of the brand,” said Levis.
According to ttgmedia.com, Levis expects the first of the new ships to be operational by the second quarter of 2024.
Crystal Cruises is represented in South Africa by Development Promotions.
