From July 25, Azamara will no longer require pre-embarkation testing for guests, apart from embarkation in ports where pre-travel testing is still needed in accordance with country regulations.
To ensure the health and safety of guests and crew, Azamara will still require proof of vaccination prior to embarkation.
“However, we highly recommend that guests take a COVID-19 test prior to starting their travels,” a statement from Azamara reads.
For countries that still require guests to present a negative COVID-19 test prior to boarding, the PCR test can be no older than three days prior to embarkation, while the rapid antigen tests must be within one day of boarding.
Rapid antigen testing is available for US$59 (R1 000) in the terminal or on the boarding deck.
