Visitors travelling from Johannesburg to Phalaborwa can still do so easily, despite Airlink terminating services between the destinations.
Ashtons Shuttles & Transfers’ daily one-way shuttle service has grown exponentially since it commenced in August last year. The company has reduced the seat rate to R595 (€32), which is expected to widen its appeal to Phalaborwa locals and visiting tourists.
The Phalaborwa-bound service departs daily from OR Tambo at 11h30, and from Sasol Persequor in Pretoria at 12h15, with an estimated time of arrival of 18h15 at Sefapane Lodge, with a 20-minute comfort stop, typically in the Dullstroom area.
The Gauteng-bound service departs daily from Sefapane at 07h00, with an estimated time of arrival of 13h15 in Pretoria and no later than 14h30 at OR Tambo. Other Phalaborwa-area pick-up and drop-off locations include the turn-offs to both the Grietjie and Parsons reserves on the R40, and Three Bridges Restaurant at The Outpost.
All clients are transferred in Toyota Quantum 14-seaters and Ashtons focuses on comfort and safety, providing full three-point safety belts, air-conditioning, bottled water, cup holders, magazine nets, satellite tracking and large luggage trailers.
Ashtons Shuttles & Transfers offers a wide range of daily scheduled shuttle services that link OR Tambo with Phalaborwa, Hoedspruit, Manyeleti/Orpen, Nelspruit, White River, Hazyview, Protea Hotel Kruger Gate and Skukuza.
