Amadeus and its educational partner, IE University, have opened applications for the fourth edition of Travel4Impact, an initiative offering subsidised training programmes to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the travel and tourism industry.
The educational programme provides training and group tutoring on how to improve business communication, sustainability, digitalisation and collaborative strategies to leaders from:
- Small travel agencies,
- Tour operators,
- Accommodation,
- Destination promotion organisations,
- Travel tech companies, among others.
Furthermore, the programme offers networking opportunities and access to the Travel4Impact platform, which showcases collaborative project opportunities and allows members to share ideas to create support systems for travel and tourism SMEs.
“Small and medium enterprises are the backbone of our industry as they account for over 80% of all global businesses in travel and tourism. At Amadeus, we recognise our unique position at the heart of the travel ecosystem, and we want to work together to make a positive social impact,” said Esther Villena, Global Head of Social Impact at Amadeus.
Applications for Travel4Impact are available on Amadeus’s website until April 30. The network is now open globally, and approximately 40 SMEs will be selected to join the programme which starts in September.
