Just eight months after Kenya Airways resumed its Mogadishu flights, the carrier has announced that it is indefinitely suspending the service from October 15.
“Kenya Airways will suspend all flights into and out of Mogadishu due to operational challenges,” says the airline’s press release.
The suspension would allow the airline to refocus on optimising its route network based on demand and improve overall operational efficiency, said Kenya Airways.
Passengers affected by the suspension will be contacted by the airline to arrange options such as rebooking, refunds, or rerouting.
