All international visitors to Singapore can now use automated lanes at Changi Airport for arrival immigration clearance.
Singapore’s Immigration and Checkpoints Authority unveiled the automated immigration lanes and announced that all foreign visitors could use the new technology, regardless of nationality and without prior registration.
The clearance system uses iris and facial biometrics as primary identifiers and fingerprints as secondary identifiers should iris and facial scans be unsuccessful. Passengers who enter Singapore using the new gates can exit the country the same way.
Special assistance lanes are available for travellers using wheelchairs and families with young children.
