During an educational media tour in Victoria Falls, fastjet Zimbabwe announced that it would introduce daily flights between Victoria Falls and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport this year.
The increase in capacity on the route comes as part of a larger plan to establish Victoria Falls as a regional tourism hub, reports newsday.co.zw.
“In our committed support of Zimbabwean and regional tourism, fastjet will increase the number of flights from Victoria Falls to Nelspruit Kruger Mpumalanga in South Africa to a daily service from early July to the end of September 2024,” said Nunurai Ndawana, Spokesperson for fastjet.
“These two destinations are among Africa’s most sought-after tourist attractions and, as fastjet, we are delighted to provide a reliable and efficient flight service allowing tourists to explore more of Africa’s attractions.”
In 2023, the carrier launched flights to popular resort destinations Hwange and Kariba as part of the same initiative to improve regional connectivity and access to Zimbabwean tourism.
