Clients who are ticket holders for a FIFA World Cup match can be booked on a Match Day Shuttle flight from Dubai to Doha on low-cost carrier, flydubai.
The flights will be operated from Dubai World Centre (DWC) airport to Doha (DOH) between November 21 and December 19.
A Match Day Shuttle flight allows the traveller to hop on a flight to Doha, watch the match and return to Dubai the same day. Also included is complimentary ground transport between the airport and the stadiums.
There is a time restriction of 24 hours maximum for the stay for passengers on the shuttle flights.
The flights can be booked for an adult or child in economy class from US$258 (R4 134), and in business class from US$998 (R15 992) – both fares inclusive of all taxes. There is also an on-board snack included.
These are special fares that are non-refundable and they do not include a checked baggage allowance. Hand luggage only is permitted, up to 7kg in economy class.
Subject to availability, the time or date of the booking on the flights may be changed for a charge of US$50 (R800). The name of the passenger cannot be changed.
For the duration of the tournament, flydubai will operate up to 30 daily return flights and travellers must be sure to select a flight that arrives at least four hours before match kick-off.
Ticket holders arriving on the shuttle from Dubai also need to have a Hayya Card. This is their fan ID and they’ll need it to enter Qatar as well as to access the stadiums.
Flight numbers for Match Day Shuttle flights operating into and out of DWC will have four digits and begin with the number five (e.g. FZ 5XXX).
