Asky Airlines has suspended its flights between Johannesburg and Lomé in Togo.
The airline introduced the service during 2020 but agent sources say the Johannesburg flights have been removed from the GDS for the next few months.
“KP’s suspension is in fact temporary. The fresh travel restrictions issued by various governments are affecting travellers. KP will resume operations as soon as the situation improves,” confirmed regional manager Southern Africa for Ethiopian Airlines, Abel Alemu, on behalf of Asky Airlines. Abel added that the cancellation would be in effect until May 31 and said all Asky tickets were protected on Ethiopian Airlines flights.
Ethiopian Airlines is a major shareholder in Asky and has a management contract to manage and operate its services.
