WALT Disney World has added extra Disney After Hours dates at the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Disney After Hours specifically priced tickets are separate from daytime park admission, allowing guests to visit the park for three hours after regular park hours. The ticket also allows guests early entry into the park on event nights, beginning at 19h00. Included with admission are ice cream, popcorn and selected beverages. The new dates for each park at Walt Disney World Resort are as follows:
Magic Kingdom: May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. Disney’s Animal Kingdom: May 7, 14 and 21; and June 4, 11 and 18. Disney’s Hollywood Studios: May 1, 4, 10, 17, 24 and 31; and June 14, 21 and 28. Marelize Le Roux, gm of Travel Vision, says Disney After Hours is a great way to spend more time at some of Disney’s parks, with reduced waiting times for attractions and not having to navigate big crowds. This package differs from Disney’s Extra Magic Hours, a perk offered to guests of Disney hotels (and selected other hotels) at Walt Disney World. Extra Magic Hours
are scheduled throughout the week for different theme parks on different days and Disney resort guests can enter a selected park one hour earlier or stay in a selected theme park two hours later than the official park operating hours. Disney After Hours tickets cost US$125 (R1 771) plus tax for advance purchase and US$129 (R1 828) plus tax for day-of purchases. Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders receive a discounted price of US$95 (R1 341). The times, locations and designated attractions are subject to change without notice.
