Start-up travel technology company Nicer aims to simplify and digitalise the process of finding a travel adviser.
The Nicer app matches clients based on their travel plans with the expertise of travel advisers. The goal is to make finding a travel adviser as simple as matching with potential connections on modern dating apps.
“From Google searches to simply using their phones to order groceries, the tolerance for manual processes is diminishing over time for consumers,” said CEO and founder Ragan Stone to travelmarketreport.com.
Currently, only advisers under the Nicer brand can access the technology. With 35 advisers and still in its early stages, the start-up has the potential for significant growth. In February this year, the company secured a substantial pre-seed funding of US$ 2 million (R36 million).
The app is available on iOS in South Africa or online through the Nicer website. Advisers can join the US-based company from any location.
