Asata is working in co-operation with other tourism bodies to create a single unified message that will invite and entice consumers to travel again.
In his closing remarks on day three of the 2020 Asata Summit, ceo Otto de Vries said he was working with the TBCSA to create a video that could be distributed via various channels. “It is becoming increasingly evident that one of the key roles we can play is to help support you, the industry, in delivering a message to travellers, a message of confidence, trust and optimism that they can start to travel again,” said Otto.
He believes there is real opportunity in delivering the message that the travel industry is open for business, travel is safe and all steps that can be taken, have been taken to mitigate the spread of the disease.
