FLYSAFAIR will discontinue
its Lanseria-George flights,
effective January 31.
Although the route was
doing well, the airline has
made a strategic decision to
redeploy its fleet.
The aircraft, which was
the only one based at
Lanseria and flying twice
weekly, will be based in
Cape Town, where it will be
more productive, says Kirby
Gordon, head of sales and
distribution of FlySafair.
The Lanseria-George
route is also very seasonal,
peaking in December and
around Easter school
holidays, says Kirby.
“We pride ourselves on
our ability to react flexibly
to market conditions and
will continue to frequently
adjust our OR TamboGeorge capacity to meet the
fluctuating seasonal demand
to this destination. We plan
to introduce more flights on
this route again during high
season,” he says.
