Travel technology companies with operations in South Africa are gearing all their resources to ensure a smooth transition for agents and other travel partners going into the national lockdown.
Amadeus and Sabre have both confirmed their ability to function and offer services in a ‘work-from-home’ environment.
Amadeus GTD Southern Africa says it has a dedicated 24/7 support team that can still be reached through the existing channels. A spokesperson for the company says all its employees will work from home until further notice and it has put measures in place to ensure that they are enabled to work normally when remote.
In a statement sent to eTNW, Sabre said the investments it has been making into cloud-based systems and infrastructure over the last several years is enabling its technology teams to work remotely without interruption.
