Fastjet won this year’s Best Airline Stand at the recent Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo held in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
At the stand, the airline focused on promoting Bulawayo with its increased flights from Harare and Johannesburg. The airline recently officially announced the addition of midday flights on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between Bulawayo and Johannesburg, starting November 1. The airline’s stand was designed to take visitors through the customer journey with a dedicated desk for live ticket bookings and support.
Mr Percy Grey, fastjet’s African grey parrot mascot, was popular and he emerged as the most-photographed character at the expo. Visitors to the fastjet stand made a point of taking a selfie with Percy for a memorable moment.
“We are delighted to have won the Best Airline Stand award at the just-ended Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo. Our stand focused on promoting Bulawayo as a tourism destination and our additional flight offerings to the City of Kings and Queens, while incorporating other fastjet destinations and services,” said Vivian Ruwuya, fastjet Zimbabwe COO.
