Fastjet recently partnered with the Victoria Falls Marathon and Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit to support conservation efforts at its tourism hub.
The unit works to prevent poaching of wildlife and natural resources.
The airline supported the rangers who took part in the marathon relay event on July 2 to raise awareness of poaching. At the finishing line, it also exhibited commonly used animal snares and traps to educate spectators on what to do when encountering such devices.
As the marathon’s official airline partner, fastjet flew athletes from Harare, Kariba, Hwange National Park, Johannesburg and Nelspruit Kruger Mpumalanga to Victoria Falls to participate in the event.
