Egypt will debut its first luxury tourist train in 2027. The Guardian of the Nile will link Cairo with Aswan.
Arsenale SpA, an Italian luxury hospitality company, signed an agreement with Cairo National Railways to launch the new train service. The project aims to capitalise on the growing trend of slow travel.
The luxury train will feature 15 carriages with 40 cabins accommodating up to 80 passengers in deluxe cabins, suites and the “Honour Suite”. The train’s interior design and decor will reflect the country’s culture and history.
Egypt’s Minister of Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, said that the train will blend luxury, elegance and entertainment for a unique travel experience between Egypt’s cities, reports Latte News.
