Cunard has announced that Michelin-star chef Michel Roux will be coming on board to treat passengers to culinary cruises in Norway.
The cruises, between April and August 2025, will be on the Queen Mary 2 and the Queen Ann. Guests on the Queen Mary 2 sailing the Norwegian Fjords from April 6 will have the chance to experience a five-course tasting menu.
Roux will create his signature seafood specialities on the Queen Ann sailing from May 11. Finally, Roux will return to the Queen Mary 2 to take over the ship’s Verandah venue.
Reservations to taste Roux’s culinary creations are at an additional charge. The venue take-overs cater for up to 60 diners.
Passengers can witness live cooking demonstrations and listen to stories about Roux’s career. Book signing opportunities will also be scheduled.
This will be Roux’s second sailing with Cunard, after joining the cruise line for selected sailings earlier this year.
“This project is incredibly rewarding and allows me to craft signature menus that capture the spirit of adventure as well as the art of accessible fine dining. I am hugely excited to get back on board and showcase the beauty of Norwegian seafood to Cunard guests,” said Roux.
Cunard is represented by Whitestar Cruise & Travel in the South African market.
