Virgin Voyages has announced the launch of its fourth ship, Brilliant Lady, which will debut in September 2025 after a 21-month delay.
The ship was delayed several times due to construction, supply-chain issues and staffing shortages. It was also delayed by adjustments that would enable it to sail through the rough seas of the Panama Canal, an adaption that required Virgin to shrink its Sea Terrace cabins.
The newest addition to the Virgin Voyages fleet will set sail on its North American Tour for the inaugural season, calling at Bermuda and Canada and, in new ports for the cruise line, Alaska, Los Angeles, and New York.
The ship can accommodate up to 2 762 passengers. Virgin Voyages currently does not have a representative in the South African market, but travel agents interested in booking their clients on the cruise can contact Virgin Voyages through its online portal.
