The French Civil Aviation Authority has asked all airlines to reduce their flight schedules at some French airports from March 28-31 in view of the national strike in France.
For these days, Air France still plans to operate all its long-haul flights, all its flights to and from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, and nearly eight out of ten flights between Paris-Orly Airport and some domestic airports.
Delays and last-minute cancellations cannot be ruled out, the airline warns. Travel News has heard of at least one delayed flight to Paris CDG so far.
To offer flyers flexibility, anyone who has been issued an Air France ticket on or before March 28 for travel from Metropolitan France from March 28-31 can postpone their trip free of charge. They will also not be affected by fare adjustments but must rebook the same travel cabin for departure up to and including April 7.
The airline also recommends that passengers check in online as early as 30 hours before departure.
If a flight is cancelled or delayed by more than five hours and the passenger decides not to travel, they are eligible for a refund.
