Air France will introduce its fifth flight to the Lapland region in northern Sweden.
The weekly Saturday flight between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Kiruna Airport will start on December 21.
Kiruna is home to a seasonal ice hotel and the Abisko National Park. The area attracts visitors for its ideal viewing of the Northern Lights and scenic hikes. It was also the location of the film The Abyss.
This will be the French carrier’s fifth destination in the Lapland region after Rovaniemi and Kittilä in Finland, and Tromsø and Narvik Lofoten in Norway.
Air France will also introduce two weekly flights to Malé in the Maldives starting December 20.
